FIRMAX CR - Fire Safety in Mind Our FIRMAX CR carpet underlay range is designed and manufactured to provide comfort and is enhanced with fire retardancy properties. FIRMAX CR contains the active ingredient Aluminum Hydroxide that is made up of three water molecules. These molecules will release water when heated to douse the flame. FIRMAX CR does not contain any amount of Antimony Trioxide to which is hazardous when it is fuming. The FIRMAX CR range has been tested under British Standards: BS 4790 and BS476 Part VII; and under Australian Standards: AWTA: AS 1530.3-1389. The tests confirm that under fire conditions, our FIRMAX CR underlay will melt without burning.
